First Bank "LARP"Our lead, Matt Shore, originally came in for a background role in the LARP scene. His look and knowledge of LARP-ing was so extensive, we cast him as our main. It paid off in spades. His whole park performance was entirely improv Perfect example of casting someone who IS the character as opposed to casting someone to PLAY the character.Ryan Ebner is a creative director and script writer for commercial advertising known for his razor-sharp casting and, understated comedic performances. Sour Patch Kids "Lineup"I did a bunch of these for my friends at Mother/NY. This one stands out as my favorite. The whole concept is so smart, but the comedy is so dumb and funny. I played all the actors super understated because I wanted the Candies to really feel awkward and alien in the situations. I liked the contrast.Director Ryan Ebner is a advertising commercial director, and is known for his razor-sharp casting and witty, understated comedic performances. Norton "Heist"As a director, I can’t emphasize the importance of a good crew enough. This spot all came together because of the people I had around me. My line producer, my DP, my location manager and casting director all helped raise this great script higher than even I thought possible. And, of course, my creative buds Jon Wyville and Dave Loew in Chicago brought their A-game with this concept.Ryan Ebner is a Creative Director and Writer known for his razor-sharp casting and witty, understated comedic performances. Secret Deodorant "Meanamorphosis" (Trailer)This short film for Secret Deodorant tackled the issue of bullying. The agency had a killer idea to use scratch and sniff cards for viewers to interact with during the film, something really new at the time. This 15 minute piece allowed me to let the actors sit with the scenes….it let the dialogue breathe a bit. As a director, it was a real growing experience not only creatively, but also logistically, preparing me for a lot of the non-traditional content I’m being asked to do these days.Ryan Ebner is a Creative Director and Writer known for his razor-sharp casting and, elevated performances.
